Club Terms & Conditions

Please read the following information carefully before applying for club membership.

Attending Sessions

a. Before Attending Sessons

Before attending lessons the following requirements must be met:

  • A registration form has been filled out and accepted, and any extra questions asked by the committee have been satisfactorily answered.
  • Clients have read and agreed to abide by the terms and conditions detailed below.
  • The fee for the next 8 sessions has been paid in full.

b. Attending Sessions

  • The required equipment list must be brought to the lesson by the owner.
  • Owners should arrive a few minutes early to toilet their dog before the session.
  • Dogs must be fully vaccinated and not carrying any contagious diseases or illnesses.
  • Dogs must not eat a meal in the hour before lessons begin.
  • Dogs may not attend while in season.

c. Removal of owner and/or dog from sessions

If at any time the committee or current training lead deems a dog or owner unsuitable for the club activities for any reason, the trainer reserves the right to ask the individual to stop attending. If the removal is not due to breaking the terms of this agreement, any payment for sessions yet to be attended will be put towards future activities, or refunded within 15 working days.

Health and Safety

a. Mandatory instructions
For safety reasons, the following instructions from the trainer must be immediately complied with under all circumstances:
a. Increasing or maintaining distance from other owners and dogs.
b. How to use any equipment provided by the trainer.
c. Removal of a dog and/or owner from the main hall.

b. Owner responsibility

Except for the mandatory instructions listed above, the owner has sole responsibility for the safety of themselves and their dog. The owner is expected to use their own judgement to decide whether they take part in suggested activities and understands all participation is at their own risk.

c. Accident and injury

Whilst every care is taken to keep owners and dogs safe, there is an element of risk in any activity involving handling dogs and taking part in physical activities. By attending classes, the owner agrees to attend at their own risk. The trainer will not be held liable for any damage to property, injury to owner or dog, or in the incredibly unlikely event of death.

Payments and Cancellations

In the case of absence from a scheduled group activity, any refunds or make-up sessions are at the discretion of the trainer. Cancellation of services due to extreme weather, trainer illness or other unforeseen events will be rearranged or refunded.

Conduct

a. Equal opportunities
The Club makes every effort to run inclusive services where all people involved feel welcome and included regardless of their age, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, culture or any other personal characteristic that might be discriminated against. While attending classes please let us know of any specific arrangements that may help accommodate you, and (where practicable) the committee will try their best to carry them out.

b. Behaviour and external communication

Club members agree to uphold a kind and courteous manner when communicating with other members, and any other persons present in training sessions. Under no circumstances will members publicise any negative or unsupportive media discussing other club members.
