The Curiosity Dog Club

A community focused dog training club based in Norwich

Are you curious about how dogs learn? Do you have an interest in exploring different training styles and trying out new dog training activities? Join the club!

At 7pm each Tuesday, join a welcoming community of like-minded people for a 50 minute training session. Each week looks a bit different, but there is guaranteed to be some general obedience exercises for mixed abilities, as well as more specialised training, and a few workshops and discussions mixed in throughout the year.

Sessions are designed for dogs aged 6 months and over who already have a basic grounding in key skills such as recall, loose lead walking, and stay. They are particularly suited to dog trainers, experienced handlers, sport enthusiasts, or owners who enjoy learning beyond standard pet classes.

The club is not intended as a behaviour rehabilitation service, but as a space for ongoing learning, skill development, and enrichment. As this is a group session, dogs must be non-reactive towards other dogs and people. All training follows a positive reinforcement approach, prioritising reward-based training and the welfare of the dog. Aversive, coercive, or punitive methods are not part of the club’s approach.

The club is run as a not-for-profit, community-led venture, with sessions supported by members who contribute their time and experience on a voluntary basis.
